TORONTO,
January 24, 2008 - Concerts for a Cause (CFAC), a
non-profit organization dedicated to organizing concerts
for charity, had its kick-off show at the El Mocambo
on January 24. The concert featured Ketch Harbour
Wolves, Sadie May Crash, The Miles, Howl, and The
Avenue.
CFAC
has its roots in Vancouver, and is now making a mark
in Toronto. Founder Andrew Rusk reflects on his charity:
"Concerts for a Cause is a great way for bands
to get publicity, charities to get revenue, and everybody
to have an amazing night of independent music."
A
cornucopia of independent music, the concert ran from
8 to 12, and featured the Atlantic Folk inspired Ketch
Harbour Wolves to the heavy rock punk-inspired Sadie
May Crash.

After the show, Andrew Clark,
Outreach Coordinator for Journalists for Human Rights
commented: "It looks as though everyone had a
great time and the event went down without any visible
hitches."
Concerts
for a Cause plans to organize concerts monthly
in Toronto. Its next show is on February 28th and
is featuring Eden Ants, The Avenue, and several more
bands still to be confirmed.
